KELOWNA – Police are investigating an act of vandalism at a Kelowna school last weekend.
Numerous windows were smashed at Glenmore Elementary School, according to an RCMP media release.
Police were notified of the vandalism on Monday, Aug. 28, Cpl. Tania Carroll says.
“Upon RCMP attendance, it was discovered that all of the windows on the ground floor were partially broken as if they were hit with a blunt force object as someone was walking by,” Carroll says in the release.
The unknown culprit, or culprits, damaged a total of 37 windows and two air conditioning units.
The damage occurred sometime between Saturday evening and Monday morning.
“The cost of replacing all of the windows and the cleanup involved is substantial,” Carroll says.
