More sunshine in Kamloops this week

Sunny and warm fall weather is in store for Kamloops residents this week.

KAMLOOPS - The sunshine and mild daytime temperatures are forecast to continue in Kamloops this week.

Environment Canada meteorologist Bobby Sekhon says a ridge of high pressure is "holding strong," and expected to last all week and into next weekend. A slight disturbance passing through the area mid-week will have little effect on the weather in Kamloops.

Daytime highs are expected to be a few degrees above normal for this time of year.

The forecast calls for sunshine today, Oct. 15, with a high of 16 Celsius and a low overnight of 0 C with patchy frost.

More sunshine is expected tomorrow with a high of around 17 C and a low overnight of 2 C.

Expect a mix of sun and cloud for Wednesday through to Saturday with highs of about 15 C.

Normal temperatures this time of year in Kamloops are highs of 13 C and lows of 3 C.
