The Thompson Nicola Regional District issued the order last night as the fire continues to grow, threatening homes in the eastern part of the village. The following properties have been told to evacuate:

• 1605 Boule-Young Lake Rd.
• 4415 Clinton-Loon Lake FSR.
• 5885 Clinton-Upper Loon Lake FSR.
• 2080 Eagan-Bonaparte Lake FSR.
• 6000 French Rd.
• 1350 to 1791 Hutchinson Rd.
• 1420 to 1475 Janzen Terr.
• 2025 Mound-Loon Lake Rd.
• 9340 Rose Rd.
• 1410 to 1490 Thibert Rd.

Additionally, all properties located within the red Evacuation Order area, as shown on the map found here.

The regional district has also issued an alert for the Green Lake area:

“There is a wildfire south of Green Lake and the wildfire poses an imminent threat to people and property. Due to the potential danger to life and health, the Thompson Nicola Regional District has issued an Evacuation Alert for the entire area identified on the attached map.

An evacuation alert has been issued to prepare you to evacuate your premises and property should it be found necessary. Residents will be given as much advance warning as possible prior to the evacuation; however you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.”

An interactive map of the wildfire alerts and order shows where exactly orders and alerts have been issued and is searchable by address.

For more information, check the regional district website.
