Modified city transit schedule includes free shuttle on New Year's Eve

PENTICTON - The City of Penticton and B.C. Transit are getting together to make it easier for residents to get safely around the city while celebrating New Year’s Eve.

A New Year’s Eve Party Loop shuttle will make the rounds on Dec. 31 in a free service for Penticton residents this New Year’s, according to a media release.

Additional service on New Year’s Eve includes routes 5 Main Street and 16 Lake to Lake running on their regular Sunday schedules.

Transit will be running on a modified schedule over the holidays with regular service on Dec. 24, no service Christmas Day and Sunday-level service on Dec. 26

Regular service resumes between Dec. 27 and Dec. 30, with regular service Dec. 31 plus the free New Year’s Eve Party Loop and night route shuttles.

Sunday level service will be available Jan. 1, 2019, with regular service resuming Jan. 2
