JERUSALEM - Palestinian medical officials say a 20-year-old Palestinian was killed in a clash with Israeli soldiers, and the army arrested a senior Hamas official and more than 40 others in a search for three teenagers who disappeared over the weekend.
The officials say the Palestinian youth was killed in Jalazoun refugee camp in the West Bank on Monday. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were unauthorized to talk to media.
Abdel Aziz Dweik, along with more than 40 other Palestinians — most of them Hamas members — was arrested on Monday in the West Bank.
Israel says the three teenagers were kidnapped by Hamas. They disappeared Thursday on the way home from a religious school.
Also on Monday, Israeli planes struck weapons sites following rocket fire from Gaza.
