Mixed bag of weather this weekend in the Okanagan

OKANAGAN - There will be sunny periods, cloudy periods, a slight chance of some rain and chilly overnight temperatures this weekend in the Okanagan.

Environment Canada says it will be warmer today and tomorrow than on the weekend.

It will be mainly sunny today with a high of about 28 Celsuis and an overnight low of 12 C.

Sunshine tomorrow with increasing cloud in the afternoon in Vernon and Kelowna and a high of around 29 C. The mercury will only drop to 18 C overnight.

The forecast for Saturday calls for a mix of sun and cloud, a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of 26 C. It will get chilly overnight with an expected low of 15 C.

The rain will disappear by Sunday with sunshine and a high of 26 C.

Normals for this time of year are highs of 25 C and lows of 12 C.
