Microbrews for Microphones

Peach City Radio - CFUZ is pleased to announce that the local craft beer industry is banding together once again to support community radio in Penticton.

For the third year in a row, Microbrews for Microphones will take place throughout the month of March.

Craft beer lovers who fill up their growlers at Bad Tattoo Brewing Company, Barley Mill Brew Pub and Bistro, Cannery Brewing, Detonate Brewing, and Firehall Brewery will be helping to raise funds for Peach City Radio.

A growler is a re-fillable 2 litre glass jug that can be used to purchase local beers.  Between March 1st and 31st, those who fill their growlers (or their smaller counterparts called grunts) will be helping the station in a big way. Partial proceeds from each growler fill at the participating locations will be donated to Peach City Radio to assist the volunteer run station in its mission to provide quality local programming. Microbrews for Microphones helps to purchase needed equipment that provides opportunities for community members to get involved.

“We’re excited that Microbrews for Microphones has expanded this year to include five local breweries from Oliver up to Summerland” says Peach City Radio’s Vice President Claire Thompson. “We’re encouraging everyone to visit these tasting rooms, fill up a growler with their favourite brew, and know that they are supporting both the local craft beer industry and Peach City Radio at the same time.”

Throughout March Peach City Radio will be sharing information about participating breweries and running fun contests on their online stream and Facebook Page. The total funds raised through Microbrews for Microphones will be announced at the 2017 Fest of Ale in April.
