TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - Susan Sarandon and Michael Moore say they're not thrilled with President Barack Obama's performance — but they hope he gets four more years.
The liberal stalwarts talked politics and show biz Wednesday during a panel discussion at the Traverse City Film Festival, which Moore co-founded in this Lake Michigan town in 2005. Both gave lukewarm assessments of Obama, with Moore saying he was "appalled and disgusted" by the administration's use of drone missiles to attack suspected militants in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Even so, Moore said the president had done some good things and that a second term would give him another chance to "be the Obama that we want him to be."
Sarandon attended the festival to receive its Lifetime Achievement Award and introduce screenings of two of her films.
