MERRITT - A man is in custody as Merritt police investigate the sudden death of a person whose body was found yesterday.
Police in Merritt received a call about a sudden death in a residence on the 2200 block of Blair Street yesterday, May 9, at around 1:30 p.m., according to an RCMP media release
Officers discovered the body of an unidentified man at the residence. A 55-year-old man was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody.
Members of the Southeast District Major Crime Unit have been called in to assist with the investigation.
