PENTICTON - There’s a special performance coming to Penticton’s Main Street during Peachfest 2016.

Mega Motocross will be apart of the annual Peach Festival for the first time with a two show performance by professional riders Kris Garwasiuk, Chris Nolan and Jay Soltes on Thursday, Aug. 4.

The show takes place from 11 a.m. to noon, with a second performance from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the 100-block of Main Street.

The trio will be performing trick jumps off ramps seen at such venues as the Centre of Gravity, Calgary Stampede and X-Games.

Soltes is an Osoyoos resident now residing in Lavington in the North Okanagan who has been riding dirt bikes for 22 years, while Garwasiuk, the first pro FMX rider in Canada, has been riding for 19 years. Garwasiuk, also a former Canadian national champion, is featured in two video games and had a seventh place finish in the X-Games.

A meet and greet is scheduled following the second show at 3 p.m.
