A man who was wanted Canada-wide last June for charges related to human trafficking has also been charged with robbery in Kelowna.

Kemron Tevin Alexander was on the run last June when the Human Trafficking and Counter Exploitation unit in Alberta obtained a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest.

He was eventually arrested in downtown Vancouver on July 8 and has 11 charges in connection to human trafficking and sexual assault including the sex trafficking of a 12-year-old girl in Alberta, according to a previous news release from the Kelowna RCMP.

He’s also been charged with one count of robbery dating back to an incident on Feb. 10, 2021 in Kelowna.

Alexander is known to travel between Edmonton, Calgary, Fort McMurray, Kelowna, Vancouver and other cities in the Lower Mainland, according to a media release. Police also said he has connections in Ontario.

Alexander has been in and out of police custody, according to court documents. He was released Jan. 22 and July 18, 2022.

His next Kelowna court appearance is for a bail hearing on Oct. 7.
