Man seriously injured jumping from Overlanders Bridge

KAMLOOPS - Emergency crews took a man to hospital this afternoon after he leapt from Overlanders Bridge.

Around 4:15 p.m. today, April 26, police got reports from several people that a man jumped off the bridge, according to a release. He was able to swim after landing in the river, making his way to the south shore of the Thompson River, where police found him.

He was treated by emergency medical crews at the scene and then taken to Royal Inland Hospital with serious injuries.
