Man found with stab wound in Abbotsford parking lot

A victim of an Abbotsford stabbing has been sent to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The 41-year-old man with a stab wound was found by a police officer who was doing routine patrols at around 5:37 a.m. today, Oct. 2 in the parking lot of 31940 South Fraser Way, according to the Abbotsford Police Department's press release.

The man received emergency care and was transported to the hospital.

The investigation was taken over by the police department's major crime unit with the assistance of patrol officers and is in its preliminary stages.

Investigators are looking for dashcam footage from anyone travelling along Clearbrook Road between Peardonville Road and Old Yale Road or South Fraser Way between Centre Street and Parkview Street between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Witnesses to the stabbing, those with dashcam footage or anyone with information related to the investigation are being asked to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.
