Man dressed as superhero assaults two women

Const. Kris Clark is asking the public for help locating a man who, dressed as a superhero, assaulted two women Jan. 19.

KELOWNA – A man wearing silver underwear over a red body suit is being sought by police for slapping a teenage girl and a woman on their backsides.

According to a release from Kelowna RCMP, they received a report an unknown male was hiding in some bushes on the 2000 block of Pandosy Jan. 19. When the two females, one 15-years-old and one 24-years-old, walked past the suspect rushed from his hiding spot, ran between the two young women and "slapped their buttocks before fleeing through the bushes to a waiting vehicle."

“The suspect was seemingly dressed like a comic book superhero, wearing what appeared to be silver underwear over a red body suit with a red balaclava," Clark says.

Neither were physically injured but police are asking the public for help locating either the suspect or the vehicle he fled in. It is described as a smaller, dark-coloured, four-door car, which left the scene headed towards downtown.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP, Cst Chenard, at 250-762-3300. Remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, leaving a tip online at www.crimestoppers.net or by texting your tip to CRIMES (274637) ktown.
