KELOWNA - Police have laid two charges after arresting a man for an indecent act at a Kelowna business yesterday afternoon.

RCMP say a man exposed himself to other people at a Rutland business yesterday, May 25.

The suspect left the store in the 200 block of Rutland Road and drove off in a Dodge Ram pickup that was later stopped by police on Rutland Road, according to an RCMP media release.

Jeffery Michael Gates, 59, appeared in Kelowna Court and has been charged with indecent exposure and failure to comply with bail terms out of Alberta.

He was remanded and faces another court appearance June 1.

Anyone with any additional information, or anyone who may have witnessed the alleged criminal act, is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
