Man arrested day after downtown Kamloops armed robbery


A suspect was arrested a day after an armed robbery in downtown Kamloops.

Officers were called to a business in the 200 block of Victoria Street just before 5:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 22, after a report of an armed robbery, according to an RCMP media release.

The report of a robbery involving a suspected firearm but police could not locate the suspect when they arrived at the retail store.

Instead, RCMP were given a description of the suspect and later arrested a man known to police the next day.

Charges have not been laid as the investigation is ongoing.

Police did not say if stolen goods or a firearm were seized in the arrest.
