KAMLOOPS – Police members have a 31-year-old man in custody after an alleged armed robbery at Powder Keg Shooters Supply store on Tranquille Road Monday morning.

A man entered the store, pointed a crossbow at an employee and demanded a firearm, according to an RCMP press release. He then fled the store before obtaining any weapons and departed in a vehicle.

RCMP officers temporarily cordoned off a portion of Tranquille Road as they searched for the suspect. The store closed down for the day.

As police continued looking for the suspect, a male turned himself in to the RCMP detachment on Battle Street claiming responsibility for the robbery.

Investigators uncovered the crossbow and the vehicle the man used.
