Participants will learn how to make their own gnome from Nikki Marshall of Okanagan Dye Works, using Maori Wool to form and sculpt the figure.

The workshop welcomes beginners and children over the age of 10, and all materials are included with the $40 registration fee.

Participants can pick up their materials from Cowork Penticton at 129 Nanaimo Avenue West, or pay $10 to have the kit sent to them.

“Staying safe is everyone’s primary concern right now, but we’re doing all we can to bring creativity and connection to our community,” Okanagan School of the Arts executive director Kim Palmer said in a release.

“We all need to find new ways to enjoy the season, and crafting this delightful piece is a great way to do it!”

The class begins at 7 p.m. on Dec. 9.
