PEACHLAND - A man and woman police allege were living in a stolen RV near Peachland are being held in custody for a number of outstanding warrants and a slew of new charges.
Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Const. Lesley Smith said in a press release officers found 38-year-old Kristina Anderson and 43-year-old Julian Hoekstra living in a 40 foot Dutchmen RV in a rural area outside Peachland.
Police say the couple had warrants related to mail theft from the Penticton area and the RV has been stolen out of Kelowna in July, 2017.
The RV was valued at $37,000 and police allege the two were in possession of more stolen property, stolen mail and fraudulent documents, plus pre-paid gift cards and credit cards.
Both Anderson and Hoekstra have been held in custody and face new charges in addition to their original warrants.
