KAMLOOPS - Community mailboxes near Cherry Creek were forced open this week and RCMP believe mail was likely stolen.
The mailboxes, located west of Kamloops in the Cherry Creek area, were pried open yesterday morning, Aug. 5.
The affected mailboxes are located at Gardie Road, Rodeo Drive and Beaton Drive. It’s believed westbound motorists on Highway 1 may have seen the suspects.
RCMP are asking anyone who may have witnesses suspicious activity around the boxes prior to 11 a.m. yesterday to call Tk’Emlups Rural RCMP at 250-314-1800 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
RCMP are also investigating potential mail thefts from boxes in Batchelor Heights, Dallas and Brocklehurst.
