LUMBY - A 32-year-old man was killed and a woman injured after a pickup crashed in Lumby over the weekend.
Vernon RCMP say in a news release officers responded to the single vehicle crash in the 2900 block of Mabel Road just before 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 7.
RCMP found a Ford F350 which had been travelling southbound before it went off the road and crashed into a rock embankment, ejecting both the driver and the passenger.
The driver was a 32-year-old Lumby man who died, and the passenger is a 33-year-old Vernon woman who was air lifted to hospital but has since been released, according to the release.
Police are continuing to investigate but believe alcohol and speed may have been factors.
