LA PAZ, Bolivia - Bolivian rescue teams have resumed the search for people missing in a landslide that killed at least 15 over the weekend.

The search had been suspended Monday for fear that new mudslides could hit the highway northeast of the capital.

Heavy rains caused tons of earth and mud to collapse on the mountain highway, burying several cars near a spot known as El Choro. The cars were in a line of vehicles making their way along a muddy patch of road when the mountainside gave way.

President Evo Morales visited the area and said Tuesday that up to seven people could still be missing.

Authorities say that the dead include at least five minors, and at least 39 other people were reported injured.
