KAMLOOPS - If you want to see Shakespeare in a different light, take the time to watch Western Canada Theatre summer students perform their play I Hate Shakespeare at the end of the month.

The play is a new take on Shakespeare's famous features and includes a bit more pizzazz, from ghosts to cheerleaders to a dummy in a bathrobe. The presentation will be a showcase of talents from students of the Stage One Theatre School’s two-week acting class.

Opening night is Friday, July 31, at 7 p.m. and two shows on Saturday, Aug. 1 will go at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Actors Workshop Theatre in Thompson Rivers University's Old Main building.

Admission is by donation to the Henry Vanderberghe Memorial Bursary, which helps students in financial need attend the Stage One Theatre School.
