PENTICTON - Someone who bought a Lotto 6/49 ticket in Penticton is going to be doing a happy dance soon.

The B.C. Lottery Corporation reports the $1-million winner in the guaranteed prize of the Saturday, May 30, draw purchased their ticket in Penticton.

The winner with the exact match to the winning number — 03362986-03 — will take home the big prize. Only the exact 10-digit match will win the prize and the odds of which are variable depending on the number of $3 plays issued for that draw, according to the lottery corporation website.

Last year, $580,533,818 in prizes were won in B.C. In the past two months several big wins have come out of the Okanagan, including Margaret and Albert Greening of Vernon who won $5,827,989 in the April 1, 2015 Lotto 6/49 draw, a $1-million MaxMillions winner from Enderby last week and a $500,000 winner last week.

If you aren't holding the winning ticket, keep an eye on the B.C. Lottery Corporation’s winners page to see if your neighbour won.
