Lots of spooky events on tap in Kelowna this weekend

KELOWNA - With Halloween only a few days away there dozens of activities for all ages happening from now through to next week.

Here are some of the family friendly options.

The Haunted House Horror Park is up and running at Myra Canyon Adventure Park. The cost is $20 per person or $50 per family with $1 from each ticket going to the Kelowna Fire Department. It includes live action simulations, adult scare zone and a 60-foot slide. Starts at 5 p.m. each night through Nov. 3 at 4429 June Springs Rd. For more information and to buy tickets go here.

The City of Kelowna's Family Monster Bash goes Saturday, Oct. 27, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Capital News Centre, 4105 Gordon Dr. It's free of charge, but donations are accepted for the Central Okanagan Food Bank. There will be games, skating, cookie making and more.

Halloween Harvest Day is being held on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $10 per child and $5 per adult at the Nature Play Space at Arion Therapeutic Farm, 2457 Saucier Rd. Luv is Luv Entertainment and Safari Ridge Adventure Park are holding a Haunting at Safari Ridge from Monday, Oct. 29 to Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. each day. The cost is a minimum $5 donation to the local branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association. The event will have two haunted areas, costume prizes and goodie bags for the kids. There will also be a dance party Monday at 6 p.m. For more details go here.

The regional district's annual Spooktacular Pumpkin Walk will be held on Sunday, Oct. 28, at the Environmental Education Centre for the Okanagan at Mission Creek Regional Park, 2326 Springfield Rd. from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. There is a pumpkin carving contest and with judging by the public from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information check out the event Facebook page here.
