Looking for a forever home, Vernon SPCA pet of the week

Oni

This high energy senior is not slowing down any time soon.

Oni, an 8 year and 7 month old neutered brindle Boxer cross, came into the SPCA because his previous owners could no longer give him the exercise and attention he needs.

Upon meeting Oni, you wouldn't guess he is almost 9 year young.

He still has a large amount of energy and is looking for an active owner who will have a lot of time for walks and hikes.

Oni has separation anxiety and will require owners who are home often and have a securely fenced backyard as he is a creative escape artist with the ability to clear a 6 foot fence so he cannot be outside un supervised.

He does have most of his basic obedience such as sit, lay down, stay and heel, however he is distracted easily, so close attention is needed when out on leash.

Oni will need slow calm introductions when meeting any new dogs.

If Oni sounds like a senior you would love to give a great retirement home to, contact the Vernon SPCA!
