PENTICTON - Fred came to the Penticton SPCA a stray.

He was found in June with his collar around his neck and under his front leg. The collar had been rubbing against his armpit for weeks and rubbed away the skin leaving large wounds.

Fred is “the sweetest boy” a media release says. He was well behaved when the caretakers cleaned his wounds. He will need his armpit cleaned once a day until he is healed.

The shelter recommends that Fred goes to an indoor-only home so he doesn’t get into any more trouble.

Fred is a lap cat and seems to get along well with other kitties.

For more information about Fred contact the staff at the Penticton SPCA. His animal ID number is 463491.

Visit the shelter's webpage for more information such as location, adoption fees and hours of operation.
