Looking for a forever home; Kamloops SPCA pet of the week

September 23, 2018 - 4:00 PM

KAMLOOPS - This friendly and sociable dog loves people and has lots of energy.

The Kamloops SPCA says Misty likes to be busy all the time and would love lots of exercise and outings with her guardian.

She is expected to make a great partner in adventure.

A confident guardian is important as she is a strong dog. Misty would benefit from a guardian who can spend lots of time with her as she dislikes being alone. She may get anxious when left by herself.

The shelter recommends she get used to spending time alone slowly, a few minutes at a time in her new home.

She would probably do best as an only dog, as she is still learning to interact positively with other dogs and will need someone prepared to continue working on her dog reactivity.

Misty is on medication once a week to help with a bladder condition and may need to be on it for life. Please ask staff for more information about her needs.

Misty is an outgoing dog who does everything in life with enthusiasm. She will be a loyal companion to a lucky guardian.

For more information about Misty contact the staff at the Kamloops SPCA. Her animal ID number is 470036.

Visit the shelter's webpage for more information such as location, adoption fees and hours of operation.
