KAMLOOPS - This bunny’s previous owner had too many rabbits and was unable to give her the proper care she needed.

Now Hotaru lives at the Kamloops SPCA.

She is a sweet and gentle bunny says animal attendant, Lynsay Stewart, in a media release.

Though Hotaru is a bit on the shy side, she enjoys when people spend time with her.

Stewart says she has started to relax and show her curious and playful side.

Hotaru is not used to being picked up, but relaxes for getting pets.

Her next guardian should be prepared to help her build confidence in humans.

She is used to living with other rabbits, but she will still need a slow proper introduction to create a positive relationship between her and the other bunny.

Hotaru also loves her veggie snacks.

She still needs to go through her spay surgery before she can be adopted.

For more information about Hotaru contact the staff at the Kamloops SPCA by calling 250-376-7722. You can also visit the SPCA at 1211 8th Street Kamloops. Hotaru’s animal ID number is 456336.

Visit the shelter's webpage for more information such as location, adoption fees and hours of operation.
