iNFOnews will be on hand again this year in Polson Park for Canada Day celebrations.

iNFOnews.ca will be out and about in the community at dozens of events, community gatherings and fundraisers as a way to connect with the communities we serve and provide support to the fantastic and important fundraisers taking place.

Coming up this Saturday, June 15 from 9 to 5 p.m. is the Sunshine Festival in downtown Vernon.

This event celebrates the start of summer, and this year is the 25th annual, presented by VantageOne Credit Union.

Rounding out summer will be the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation Charity Classic Golf Tournament.

This important fundraiser brings much needed funds to outfit and run the hospital for everyone in the region. The current campaign focuses on outfitting a fifth operating room.

The tournament still has room for players and sponsors, so be sure you sign up your group to support the foundation. A live auction, prizes and dinner are all part of the fun.
