KAMLOOPS - The North Shore corridor in Kamloops is about to get a whole lot tastier with a slew of new restaurants in the coming weeks. From all-you-can-eat fish and chips, to craft beer, and pizza with flavours inspired from around the world, you’ll surely find something to salivate over.

Jeremy Heighton, executive director of the North Shore Business Improvement Association, gives the run-down on the new places to grab some grub.

“Coming up in the next few days is a new pizza joint called Red Swan Pizza, that's over beside Senor Froggy,” Heighton says. “It looks like a pretty interesting menu.”

Red Swan Pizza was started in Saskatchewan and operates stores in Alberta, Ontario and Manitoba. The location opening up near Fortune Drive and Simcoe Avenue will be the first restaurant in B.C. The menu includes some unique pizzas like Spicy Ginger and Corriander and Lemon Garlic Shrimp. The signage is up and the owners are just finishing the final touches.

Another restaurant coming to the North Shore is C-Lovers, which is known for its all-you-can-eat fish and chips. Although there are locations in Kelowna and Vernon, this will be the first one in Kamloops. The seafood restaurant will fill the space that was once Cap'n Sharky's at Sydney Avenue and Tranquille Road. It should be open around mid-October.

If you’re looking for some craft beer and cider, a new spot will soon tickle your tastebuds. Bright Eye Brewing has been pouring its creations at community events like Music in the Park and is set to open an upscale brewpub and cider house in the coming weeks at The Station in the 200 block of Tranquille Road.

Fans of the 5Bean Brewbar and Cafe won’t have to travel to Sahali to get their caffeine fix. The owners are expanding into the North Shore at Clapperton Road and Tranquille Road. The new location will be up and running in a week or so.
