Local businesses partner to fill a limo with donations for Kamloops SPCA

Two Kamloops companies have teamed up to host a charity event with a bit of a twist.

Eat Clean Express & Meal Prep and River City Limo are asking the community to help them stuff a limo full of pet supplies for the Kamloops SPCA.

"With COVID and everything, we realize that a lot of fundraising efforts have been halted," Eat Clean Express owner Roberta Nechvatal said.

With an outdoor event like Fill the Limo, everyone can social distance and bring some early Christmas cheer to the SPCA in a safe way, she said.

The limo will be parked at Thompson Rivers University beside the new nursing building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 7, according to a Eat Clean Express Facebook post.

Anyone who donates to Fill the Limo will be entered in giveaways for Eat Clean Express and can enter a draw for a two hour limo ride from River City Limo.

Local café 5Bean Brew will also be at the event handing out coffee.

Eat Clean Express posted a list of items requested by the Kamloops SPCA.

Some items include toys, wet canned and dry food for dogs and cats, treats, pine or paper shavings for small animals, and cat litter. The SPCA is also looking for office and kitchen items, including paper towel, toilet paper, kitchen garbage bags, dish soap, office paper and different kinds of tape.
