OKANAGAN - Live! in Lake Country is thrilled to host two big name acts for a free public concert presented by TD Canada Trust on Saturday, July 16 at Beasley Park on the shores of Wood Lake.

“With circus kids activities provided by Lake Country School of Dance, Giddy Monkey face painting, Henna body art, food vendors and a Lake Country museum activity, there will be something for every member of the family at our feature free concert event this Saturday,” said Ryan Donn, Cultural Development Coordinator for Lake Country. “Being able to offer a free live concert in the park with big name acts like Adam Fitzpatrick’s Elvis tribute and Cod Gone Wild is all about ensuring we are providing great cultural experiences for our community! This Saturday is the only free show that Cod Gone Wild is doing in the Central Okanagan this summer, so I’m anticipating a big crowd. Their Celtic-inspired energetic performances have quite a following throughout the valley; and Adam Fitzpatrick does a world class Elvis act.”

Beasley Park is located at 3450 Woodsdale Rd. and shares a beach on Wood Lake with Reiswig Regional Park, plus a playground, picnic gazebo and washroom facilities. Everyone is invited to bring their lawn chairs and blankets for seating in the park.

The concert starts at 6:40pm and goes until 9:00pm, but everyone is invited to come early, enjoy the park and even bring a picnic. No dogs or alcohol please.

A bit about the performers:

Adam Fitzpatrick:

Elvis Aaron Presley remains the most significant cultural icon of our time, and thirty-six years after his death his legions of fans keep growing as does his legacy. There will never be another “King” but there are those few that come closer than the rest and Adam Fitzpatrick is one of those select few that does.

With his growing reputation of excellence as an Elvis Tribute Artist, Adam is fast gaining worldwide recognition for his natural ability to capture the magnificent passion Elvis had for music and the electrifying appeal with which Elvis dominated the stage.

Cod Gone Wild:

Cod Gone Wild is what you get when you combine a tenderhearted singer/songwriter from Newfoundland, a larger than life Albertan drummer raised in Saudi Arabia, an internationally renowned fiddling BC beauty, and an effortlessly cool Japanese Canadian bass player.

This Celtic inspired band is focused on giving traditional music a modern edge. Blending the varied talents of four musicians whose classical, folk and rock backgrounds fuse together to create a dynamic and unique sound that instantly connects and resonates with audiences. Through their uplifting energy and remarkable stage presence, they weave together a tapestry of tales that evoke a nostalgic experience of days gone by.

Live! in Lake Country performances are presented by TD Canada Trust with additional sponsorship provided by Lakestone, Save On Foods, Kiwanis, Castanet, the Lake Country Calendar, Sun FM, Moving Pixel Productions and New Horizon Productions.
