OKANAGAN - At first glance it will be a very warm weekend with lots of sun, but a closer look shows a steep drop in temperature is expected for Sunday.

Environment Canada is calling for temperatures to reach 25 Celsius today, May 6, in Vernon and Kelowna, and 26 C in Penticton, with a high of 29 C expected across the region Saturday. Forecasters are calling for a high of just 17 C Sunday though, below the seasonal normal high temperature of 18 C.

Overnight lows are expected to remain above the seasonal normal low of 6 C, with lows of 7 C to 10 C expected over the weekend.

Sunny skies are also expected most of the weekend, with some cloud cover in the forecast for Sunday.
