FILE PHOTO

A woman who allegedly pulled a knife on an employee who tried to prevent her from allegedly stealing was busted by the Kamloops RCMP.

It happened around 10:05 p.m. last night, July 5, in the 1200-block of Summit Drive, according to an RCMP press release.

“A description of the suspect was provided to responding officers, who were able to locate her hiding in a bush nearby,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.

The woman happened to already have a warrant out for her arrest. She was held in custody until her court date today.

The Kamloops RCMP is asking any witnesses to contact the detachment by calling 250-828-3000 and referencing 2022-22969.
