Kelowna winery voyeurism case to end with guilty plea

The Kelowna man alleged to have invaded the privacy of Summerhill winery employees by setting up a secret bathroom camera is scheduled March 13 to plead guilty.

Ian Michael Leighton, 43, was charged with 13 counts of Voyeurism contrary to Section 162(1) of the Criminal Code, one charge of Obstruction of Justice contrary to Section 139(2) of the Criminal Code, three charges of Making of Child Pornography contrary to Section 163.1 (2) of the Criminal Code, one charge of Possession of Child Pornography contrary to Section 163.1 (4) of the Criminal Code.

What he will plead guilty to, however, remains to be seen. Court files don't indicate if a deal has been struck with Crown counsel.

When news broke last summer, Summerhill CEO Ezra Cipes confirmed only that an employee was arrested and that the staff was working to get through the difficult time together.
