Kelowna's Level nightclub will be reborn Friday, opening as Gotham.
“We wanted to transform the venue and bring it up to modern standards. It was capital intensive, but we’re very very happy with the finished product and are excited to open it up to the city,” Eddy Racano, who has hosted shows such as Nelly, Akon, and Adventure Club, among other notable global acts throughout the years, said in a media release.
They intend to reinstate Thursday night entertainment with a refreshed College Thursday, dubbed College Gothams.
“We’re working on getting the staffing, logistics and branding right and are confident the venue will be well-regarded,” Racano said.
The first college Thursday at the new Gotham Nightclub is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 31 and will feature local DJ Sugarpoppz as the weekly main act.
The first opening night for the venue will be Friday, Oct. 25 for a Halloween-themed Fruitcake event for the LGBT+ community followed on Saturday, Oct. 26 with their Saturday main event Gotham Carnivale featuring Okanagan-based DJ Invizible.
