The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes 7-4 last night, Nov. 17, at Prospera Place to close out their four game home stand.

Liam Kindree got things started 40 seconds in to the opening frame as he tipped home a point shot for his third goal of the season to give Kelowna an early 1-0 lead. Leif Mattson (7) extended Kelowna's lead 1:28 later on the power play after stripping a Hurricanes defenceman in front of the Lethbridge net and beating goaltender Stuart Skinner. Jake Elmer (3) got Lethbridge on the board with 55 seconds remaining in the period and Kelowna took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.

Giorgio Estephan (8) took advantage of a Hurricanes power play at the 5:48 mark of the middle period to even things at 2-2. Estephan (9) scored another for Lethbridge to give them a one goal advantage, but Dillon Dube (11) made sure the celebration was short lived, responding for Kelowna 44 seconds later after dancing around two Hurricanes defencemen before slipping it past Skinner. At 14:45 Kyle Topping (9) finished a beautiful feed from line-mate Leif Mattson to restore a Kelowna lead and the Rockets led 4-3 heading into the final stanza.

The Hurricanes continued to push back as Jordy Bellerive (9) tied the game 4-4 at 3:58 of the third period. At 8:52 Dillon Dube (12) put the Rockets back on top with his second of the night. James Hilsendager (3) gave the Rockets a two goal cushion on a hard slap shot from the point at 12:28 before Conner Bruggen-Cate (3) put one in the empty net to solidify the Rockets 7-4 win.
