KELOWNA - Police in Kelowna are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect sought in a break and enter, and a bike theft.

Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jesse O'Donaghey says in a news release that officers responded to a break-in at a secure underground parking lot in the 700 block of Leon Avenue on Aug. 24. Police learned that an unknown man was caught on video surveillance inside the parkade after allegedly using force to gain entry.

“Once inside it is alleged that the person of interest... stole a black and green Norco Storm 7, men’s 18-speed mountain bike,” says O’Donaghey.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, slim build, with short brown hair, seen wearing a black, long-sleeved sweater, a pair of grey shorts, a dark-coloured backpack and dark-coloured shoes.

If you know this man, you're asked to call Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800-222-8477.
