KELOWNA - Kelowna RCMP have released a composite sketch of the unknown suspect in connection to an attack in Mission Creek Regional Park a month ago.

RCMP say a woman walking in Mission Creek Regional Park in the 2300 block of Springfield Road in Kelowna was assaulted by a man just before 2 p.m. on May 2, according to an RCMP media release.

Police are hoping that a woman who witnessed the incident will come forward to help with their investigation. She apparently had a small black dog with her.

The victim, who is in her 30s, was not injured in the attack.

The assailant is described as a Caucasian male in his 40s, approximately 6' tall, of average build and skinny, with a fair skin tone, medium brown hair and a moustache. He was wearing a white T-shirt and red shorts at the time.

“Since the incident, a specially trained forensic artist met with the victim in order to create a composite sketch of the assault suspect,” Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey said in the release.

Anyone who can help identify the man is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP non-emergency line at 250-762-3300, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by leaving a tip online at www.crimestoppers.net.
