Kelowna RCMP looking for driver who hit cyclist and took off

KELOWNA – This morning a man driving a car near the hospital in Kelowna hit a cyclist and fled the scene, and police are trying to track him down.

Officers got the call this morning, July 12, at 7:02 a.m. of a hit and run at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Richter Street, according to an RCMP release.

Police say the victim, a 34-year-old man, was not seriously injured, but his bike is destroyed.

RCMP are looking for a late model Ford Explorer last seen heading eastbound on Glenwood Avenue.
