Kelowna RCMP investigating shooting that left one dead, another injured

Kelowna Mounties are investigating after a shooting left one man dead and another injured.

Police were called at around noon Sunday, Aug. 30, to Kelowna General Hospital where a man suffering an apparent gunshot wound had gone in need of help from what has been described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Inside his car, outside of the hospital, another man was found dead.

“The victim has indicated that the shooting occurred in the McCulloch area and officers are canvassing the area searching for evidence,” Cpl Jocelyn Noseworthy, of the Kelowna RCMP said in a press release. “The investigation is still in its early stages and officers will be in the area for an undetermined period of time.”

No further information is being released at this time but Kelowna RCMP are urging anyone who witnessed or has knowledge of this crime to come forward to speak with police.
