RCMP are on the hunt for suspects in a stolen pickup after a police car was rammed in a mall parking lot last night.
Police were called about two possibly intoxicated people sleeping in a pickup truck parked in a mall parking lot at around 6:55 p.m. yesterday, Oct. 10, according to an RCMP media release. RCMP do not say where in Kelowna the mall was located.
When officers located the pickup they attempted to speak with the individuals in the truck.
The truck unexpectedly backed up and accelerated forward colliding with the front of the patrol vehicle resulting in damage. The suspects fled the scene and there were multiple reports about the truck being driven recklessly throughout the night. No officers or members of the public were injured.
