A bobcat was spotted by multiple people around Kamloops yesterday.
An adult bobcat was spotted on the North Shore in McArthur Island Park and wandering through the surrounding neighbourhoods Sunday, Oct. 25.
In one video taken by resident Larry Miller, the wildcat is seen calmly crossing the street and meandering through someone's front yard.
Photos of the animal were posted to Facebook by people in Kamloops, some concerned about the safety of pets outdoors.
The bobcat is still in the area, Kamloops conservation officer Graydon Bruce said.
"There's no public safety risk, but people should keep their pets on leash," he said.
Kamloops resident Joyce Smienk captured photos of the bobcat in her front driveway Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020.
