Kelowna police looking for armed bandit

KELOWNA - A man had money stolen and his clothing slashed during an armed robbery in Kelowna last week.

A person with a knife mugged a man at a bus stop in the 3900-block of Lakeshore Road across from the 7-Eleven around 10 a.m., Friday, June 10, police say.

The suspect walked up to the victim from behind and took $30 from the man’s back pocket before slashing his shirt and jacket with a knife, according to a media release.

RCMP described the suspect as an African American man, about 6’ tall, 170 lbs., with blue eyes and a vertical scar on the right side of his neck. He was wearing a grey hoodie, black leather jacket and blue jeans.
