Kelowna man arrested in drug bust

Kelowna RCMP have arrested a 49-year-old man after a search of Rutland property uncovered drugs, weapons and firearms.

According to a Kelowna RCMP media release, officers raided a property in the 600 block of Gerstmar Road, Jan. 28, as part of an investigation into suspected drug trafficking in the Rutland area.

"During their search of the home, police seized quantities of suspected crystal methamphetamine, as well as firearms and a variety of weapons from inside the residence," Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Const. Solana Paré said in the release.

Clayton Wade Zeleniski was arrested and faces 10 charges including firearms and drug possessions.

The 49-year-old Kelowna man remains in custody and will appear in court at a later date.
