Kelowna firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a house fire at 4:40 a.m. today, Jan. 29, after getting a number of calls.

“First arriving officer reported visible flames around the front entrance of the residence,” a Kelowna fire department news release says.

“The fire was quickly extinguished with minimal damage to the exterior of the home and small extension into the attic.”

The fire was at 1826 Bernard Ave. near Glenmore Drive.

“The fire is deemed suspicious at this time and is currently under investigation by RCMP and Kelowna Fire Dept to determine a cause,” the news release says.
