Kelowna hotel burglary; RCMP looking for witnesses

KELOWNA – RCMP are on the hunt for at least two suspects wanted from breaking into rooms at a Kelowna hotel last night.

Police say they were called to a hotel in the 2100-block of Harvey Avenue at around 11:19 a.m., Jan. 10, after three hotel rooms were broken into.

The suspects forced their way into the rooms and stole items from inside, according to a media release.

Hotel security spotted two suspects jump into a black, older model Dodge pickup, which was last seen heading south on Harvey Avenue.

Const. Jesse O’Donaghey says police aren't releasing the name of the hotel to protect the business from any negative impact.

Along with the suspects, he says they are looking for witnesses.

If you were a witness and have not yet spoken with police, you are asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300. Remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, leaving a tip online at www.crimestoppers.net or by texting your tip to CRIMES (274637) ktown.
