Kelowna Fire Department rescues injured climber in Angel Falls

KELOWNA - The Kelowna Fire Department rescued a woman who fell onto a rock face while climbing in Angel Falls yesterday.

According to a press release, the Fire Department received a report about a woman who fell in the Angel Falls trail area off McCulloch Road at 1:50 p.m. on Aug. 3. The woman was found one kilometre in from the trail head.

The woman had apparently been climbing when she lost her footing and fell onto a rock face. She sustained head, facial and elbow injuries.

She was assessed and treated at the scene, then transported to an ambulance with a basket stretcher.
