Fire crews arrived at a garage fire in Kelowna early this morning in time to save the adjoining house.
Firefighters were called out at about 1:50 a.m. today, Dec. 22, to find heavy black smoke and flames pouring from the garage in the 3500 block of Reekie Road, according to a Kelowna Fire Department media release.
They were able to control the fire before it could spread to the house.
There was fire damage to the garage and attic.

The sole resident and a dog got our safely and were looked after by Emergency Support Services.
Platoon Capt. Kelly Stephens said in the release the fire is suspicious and is being investigated by RCMP.
This is the second garage fire in the Central Okanagan in two days. Crews fought a detached garage fire in the 900 block of Lloyd Jones Drive in West Kelowna early yesterday morning.
