Fire crews arrived at a garage fire in Kelowna early this morning in time to save the adjoining house.

Firefighters were called out at about 1:50 a.m. today, Dec. 22, to find heavy black smoke and flames pouring from the garage in the 3500 block of Reekie Road, according to a Kelowna Fire Department media release.

They were able to control the fire before it could spread to the house.
